Buy Back Your Time: How C4 Wraps Cut Costs 60%+ by Replacing a $100K+ Salary With a $32K Investment

C4 Wraps needed more than a new website — they needed their time back. To handle web development, CRM management, social media, and SEO in-house, they'd have needed to hire a team member (or several) with a combined skill set that typically commands $100,000+ a year in salary alone. Instead, C4 Wraps invested $32,000 with us and got a full-service team's worth of expertise and execution — cutting their costs by more than 60% while buying back the time to focus on running their business.

The Problem

The Cost of Doing It All Alone

Before partnering with us, C4 Wraps was operating with a website and marketing stack that couldn't keep up with the business it was trying to grow. Wes was working with a previous provider who wasn't communicating well or keeping pace with the company's needs, leaving him with an outdated digital presence and no real system for turning interest into revenue. To close those gaps in-house, he'd need to hire for a combination of highly specialized roles — and the market rate for that experienced-level talent adds up fast:

  • An experienced Webflow web developer: $115,000–$140,000/year
  • A CRM and marketing automation specialist: $90,000–$120,000/year
  • A senior Google Ads/PPC specialist: $85,000–$120,000/year
  • A senior social media manager and content creator: $85,000–$110,000/year
  • A senior marketing project manager to oversee it all: $90,000–$120,000/year

Hired separately, that's roughly $465,000–$610,000 a year in salary alone — before benefits, payroll taxes, software subscriptions, or office overhead. Even trying to find a single "unicorn" hire who's genuinely experienced across web development, CRM/automation, paid ads, social content, and project management still commands well over $100,000 in base salary, and candidates with real depth across all five areas are extremely rare — most businesses would need a small team to cover it, not one person.

The specific problems Wes was facing:

  • An outdated website with only about 20 pages, missing service lines like PPF wraps and window tinting
  • No real showcase of his work — the old site had images, but they didn't highlight before-and-afters or the quality of his craftsmanship
  • No CRM or lead follow-up system, meaning leads and calls were falling through the cracks
  • No consistent social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or Google Business Profile
  • No SEO or AEO strategy to help him rank for the services and towns he wanted to dominate
  • No visibility into performance — no meaningful tracking connected to his website, ads, or listings
  • Disorganized online listings and directory presence across the internet
  • No one coordinating all of these moving pieces, and a provider relationship with little transparency into what was actually working

Left unaddressed, these gaps meant Wes was either spending his own time trying to fill them, or leaving revenue on the table because leads simply weren't being followed up with. Hiring his way out of it would mean a six-figure payroll commitment — with no guarantee of finding the right people, let alone managing them.

The Solution

A Full Team's Worth of Expertise, for a Fraction of the Cost

We started with two three-hour strategy sessions to fully understand C4 Wraps' business, brand, and vision before building anything. From there, we built out a sitemap, wireframes, and design references with Wes's direct input at every stage, then expanded far beyond the original website into a complete digital growth system — website, CRM, social media, SEO/AEO, listings, and Google Ads — all coordinated and managed monthly so Wes could stay focused on running his business instead of managing a marketing department.

Here's everything we put in place:

  • A completely rebuilt website, growing from 20 pages to 77, built in Webflow with four content collections, 11 town-specific pages for local SEO/AEO, and dedicated pages for every service line — including new PPF wraps and window tinting offerings
  • A custom online booking system letting customers select their film package, vehicle type, and coverage, and schedule directly onto the company calendar
  • Hundreds of optimized images and graphics, including AI-generated "before" images to complete before-and-after galleries, all properly named and alt-tagged for SEO
  • A fully custom CRM built on GoHighLevel, with every lead and call tracked, recorded, and followed up on automatically — now home to 2,250+ contacts
  • Custom webhook and API integrations with Shop Monkey, so every Shop Monkey customer flows into the CRM and receives the same lead follow-up as website leads
  • Automated email and SMS campaigns — nurture, sales, and lead follow-up sequences — delivering a 100% delivery rate and a 34% open rate
  • A website chatbot to intake and qualify leads around the clock
  • Daily social media management across Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, Monday through Friday, built around a format and posting style Wes specifically wanted to emulate
  • Listings management across 72 directories, keeping his information accurate and consistent everywhere he shows up online
  • Google Ads management, including landing pages, optimization, integrations, and negative keyword strategy
  • Full analytics infrastructure connecting Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Ads directly to the CRM and website
  • A dedicated point of contact managing the entire scope, coordinating the web development, CRM, ads, and social media work so nothing falls through the cracks — the role a project manager would normally play

For an average investment of about $3,000 a month — roughly $34,000 total to date — Wes gets a website developer, CRM specialist, Google Ads specialist, social media manager, and project manager all working in tandem, without the overhead, hiring risk, or management burden of building that team himself. Instead of spending his time recruiting, training, and coordinating a department, he's spending it running C4 Wraps — while a connected system of website, CRM, ads, and social media works together in the background to bring in and follow up with every lead.

A Business Outgrowing Its Website

Wes, the owner of C4 Wraps, built his commercial vehicle wrap business from the ground up — becoming known for color change wraps, architectural wraps, and eventually expanding into PPF (paint protection film) and window tinting. But his website hadn't kept pace with his business. It was small, outdated, and missing huge parts of what he actually offered. It didn't show off the quality of his work, wasn't optimized for search, and wasn't built to convert visitors into leads. On top of that, he was working with a provider who wasn't communicating well or keeping things moving. Projects sat stagnant, and Wes wasn't getting the transparency he needed to understand what was actually happening with his own marketing.

Wes knew he needed a real partner — not just someone to build a website, but someone who could help him grow the business behind it.

Finding Frisco Web Agency

Wes found Frisco Web Agency the way a lot of our best clients do: through another client's website. He came across PDRTX's site, built by us, and loved it. That led him to search us out directly. Since Wes was in our service area, we didn't just hop on a call — we drove out and met him in person for an hour and a half, walking through his business, his goals, and what he wanted his website and brand to actually accomplish. We showed him demonstrations, answered his questions, and gave him everything he needed to make a confident, informed decision.

Wes didn't sign on the spot — and that was a good sign. He took his time, thought it through, and then called us back ready to move forward.

Building The Plan

We kicked things off in August 2025 with two three-hour strategy sessions dedicated entirely to understanding C4 Wraps: the business, the brand, the services, the customers, and where Wes wanted to take the company next. Wes provided the content, and from there we built a full sitemap and reviewed it with him, followed by wireframes, also reviewed with him, and design references before any design work began. Every stage was collaborative — nothing got built in a vacuum.

The result, launched in mid-September 2025, was a complete transformation:

  • 77 pages, up from the original 20 — including brand-new service lines for PPF wraps and window tinting that didn't exist on the old site
  • 11 town-specific pages built for local SEO and AEO around commercial vehicle wraps, C4 Wraps' core service
  • Four Webflow CMS collections powering blog posts, blog categories, and dynamic content across the site
  • A custom online tint-booking tool at GoC4Wraps.com/tent-booking-online, where customers can select their film package, vehicle type, and coverage, and book directly onto C4 Wraps' calendar
  • Hundreds of optimized images, including AI-generated "before" photos to complete before-and-after galleries that didn't exist previously, all properly named and alt-tagged for SEO
  • Client logos featured throughout, including major names like Dude Perfect
  • Full legal page coverage — terms and conditions, cookie policy, and privacy policy
  • Schema markup and Open Graph data for search and social visibility, plus a sitemap submitted directly to Google Search Console
  • Responsive design built and tested across desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile — both landscape and portrait
  • Full integration with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Ads, and C4 Wraps' CRM, so the website functions as a true hub for the business rather than a standalone brochure

Beyond The Website: Building A Growth Engine

Once the website was live, Wes wanted more — he wanted a real system for turning traffic into paying customers. That's when we built out C4 Wraps' CRM using GoHighLevel, complete with a dedicated phone number, email setup, and a full migration of his existing contacts.

From there, we layered in:

  • Automated lead follow-up on every call and every lead, with every call tracked and recorded
  • Nurture, sales, and follow-up email campaigns, along with SMS automations, running monthly to keep leads and existing clients engaged
  • A custom webhook and API integration with Shop Monkey, so every Shop Monkey customer automatically flows into the CRM and receives the same level of follow-up as a website lead
  • A website chatbot for round-the-clock lead intake
  • Accurate business listings across 72 directories online, with duplicate listings suppressed and a business address change managed across Google and beyond

We also took over C4 Wraps' Google Ads campaigns — building landing pages, managing optimization, integrations, and negative keyword strategy — and stepped in to run social media. Wes had seen what Shell Shocked Wraps was doing on social and wanted that same format and energy for his own brand. We took that entirely off his plate, meeting with him directly to understand his vision and requirements before launching a daily posting cadence — Monday through Friday — across Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

What Wes Avoided

Had Wes tried to build this internally, he'd have needed to hire and manage a small team: an experienced Webflow developer, a CRM and marketing automation specialist, a senior Google Ads specialist, a social media manager and content creator, and a project manager to keep it all moving together. Combined, that's a payroll commitment well into the hundreds of thousands of dollars a year — before benefits, software, or the time it takes to recruit and manage that team in the first place.

Instead, Wes invested around $3,000 a month — about $34,000 total to date — for a team with more bandwidth and broader expertise than a single hire could offer, without the overhead or management burden of building that department himself.

Where Things Stand Today

This isn't a one-and-done project — it's an ongoing partnership. On a monthly basis, we continue managing C4 Wraps' SEO and AEO, social media, CRM, Google Ads, and the website itself, all working together as one connected system. The results speak for themselves: a CRM with over 2,250 tracked contacts, 343,032+ social media impressions, a website that's grown 10x in organic traffic, a #1 ranking in McKinney for commercial vehicle wraps, and a business that finally has the digital foundation to match the quality of the work Wes and his team put into every vehicle they wrap.

Most importantly, Wes bought back his time. Instead of managing a growing list of vendors, tools, and tasks himself, he has one partner handling it all — freeing him up to do what he does best: run and grow C4 Wraps.
